Rust meets Slate
I have been busy stitching my rust fabrics (see previous post) with my Willcox and Gibbs machine, it just loves metallic thread, in this case bronze. It just seemed right today to introduce my piece of rust work to the slate that Clyde gave me yesterday. Just love the colours together.

Hi!
Thanks for the comment on my blog. It began what has ended up being a hilarious morning. Neither my husband or I knew what "Ally Pally" was. Over breakfast (we happened to have the laptop close by) we googled it and read about some motorcycle show being held there. Eventually, we figured out that Ally Pally is Alexandra Palace...had no idea. We're still laughing.

Don't know which day(s) I'm going. I'm planning to purchase the tickets once there as mailing them to the US seems risky.
Hi!
This is Susan again. I just realized that I forgot to change my "currently posting as" account. Thus, the last message reads "Vista Studios" which is a blog (and website) I maintain for the artist cooperative where my studio is! Oops!

PS You abbreviated the name of the booth in which you will be located at "Ally Pally". For what do those initials stand? Or....should I google them too...who knows what hilarious thing will pop up?!
I love that stitching on your rust dyed fabric, Maggie. And the slate complements it perfectly.
Maggie - I like this piece a lot - the combination of rust and slate is very interesting. I'd love to see it in person, as I imagine that's even more true in that instance...
