Have had an uneventful day at home today, not a lot of stitching done, have not been very well. Did look through some holiday photos of last summer. We had a lovely few days in the Lake district, staying with a friend, which meant that the Schnauzer could come too. So to cheer myself (and you) up, I will share just a few of the photos. A beautiful place if you can ever manage to visit.
This photo is Ruskins View, apparently it was his favourite place. It appears Turner enjoyed this view too.
A plaque at the site giving tourists some information.

This was taken at Coniston lake, really beautiful place and so peaceful, despite the tourists. We all loved it.

And of course have to include a photo of the adolescent puppy, to prove he has been to Cumbria on holiday

I haven't been to the lakes for years and I think it would be a great idea to go soon. Thanks for the reminder of how lovely it is.
